The Estate Agency Office

Deleted “an Office Administrator or Negotiator” and retained just “any other person” making it simple and straightforward – other than REA/Resident Manager, nobody else is allowed to run an Estate Agency Office.

“Contractual staff” to replace “PEA & negotiators” as all PEA and REN are contracted to carry out Estate Agency Practice, and should be familiar with Act, Rules, Standards, Circulars and Guidelines.

“Virtual and serviced offices are not considered proper office” being moved to Explanation section. This serves more of an explanatory and clarification statement.

As a whole, Standard 1 – Estate Agency Office is quite straightforward as it is a physical building. The word is “PROPER” so it consists of two key parts –

1. separate entrance to signify its physical space being confined and identifiable.
2. a REA as resident manager to be responsible for the running of this office.
